Mozart in Ala

On their great trip to Italy, father and son Mozart came to Ala, a village between Rovereto and Verona. They stayed in Palazzo Pizzini and became friends with the Pizzini brothers. In another 2 trips to Italy they stopped in Ala. Mozart sat at the organ of the palace and filled the rooms of the palace with music.

Destination Museo del Pianoforte Antico

Today the Palazzo has become an excellent museum of the piano with 40 exhibits. One goes through the history of this instrument from its beginnings to the eras of Mozart, Chopin to the pianos Érard and Steinway.
