Glossary: LYRIC TENOR

This post  shows the technical term LYRIC TENOR explained in a few sentences with links to practical examples.

Lyric tenor

A lyrical tenor has a light and supple voice and therefore is capable of both large lyrical legato bows and coloratura singing (Wikipedia). A well-known example is Luciano Pavarotti. You can listen to him eg in the blog to Puccini’s La Bohème or find him via the search function (top right of screen).
